Supporting Our Community Through the South Fork and Salt Wildfires: How You Can Help with PVP

The ongoing South Fork and Salt wildfires in Ruidoso, New Mexico, are having a profound impact on our communities. As these fires rage on, they disrupt the lives of many families, and the need for support has never been greater. At Pecos Valley Production, a family-owned company rooted in Roswell since 2016, we commit deeply to supporting our staff and the families in Lincoln County during this challenging time.

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this tragedy, and we dedicate ourselves to providing the necessary support to help our community recover and rebuild.

PVP’s Commitment to Aid

Pecos Valley Production fully supports our community during these challenging times. In response to the ongoing wildfires, we have issued an official statement to address the situation and outline our efforts.

As a family-owned business based in Roswell, we feel a deep responsibility to assist our neighbors in Lincoln County. To support those affected by the wildfires, we are collecting essential items such as water, snacks, toiletries, and more for donation. We ask for your help in gathering these supplies so our community members receive the support they need.

Our collaboration with Roswell City Officials ensures that the donated supplies are distributed to the areas most in need. By working closely with local authorities, we can effectively deliver assistance where it will have the greatest impact.

In addition to collecting donations, PVP has already begun providing direct support to those impacted by the Ruidoso fires. This includes offering fuel, food, time, and housing. Our commitment to the community is unwavering, and we will continue to provide support as the situation develops.

Safety & Prevention

Everyone must follow safety guidelines to help prevent further wildfires. Simple actions can make a significant impact in protecting our forests and communities. Whether you’re at home or enjoying the outdoors, always be mindful of fire safety practices.

Here are a few key guidelines to keep in mind:

  • Properly Dispose of Cigarettes or Joints: Ensure that cigarettes or joints are fully extinguished before disposing of them, though refraining from smoking is the safest bet. Never throw them out of car windows.
  • Campfire Safety: Only light campfires in designated areas and never leave them unattended. Make sure they are completely out before leaving the site.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain your vehicles and equipment to prevent sparks from igniting dry vegetation. Avoid driving over dry grass.
  • Fireworks: Refrain from using fireworks. They can easily ignite dry brush and cause large-scale fires.
  • Fire Bans: Respect any fire bans or restrictions in your area. These measures prevent accidental fires.

Recall the famous saying, “Remember… Only YOU Can Prevent Forest Fires.” By staying vigilant and adhering to these safety measures, we can all help protect our beautiful New Mexico landscapes and the well-being of our neighbors.

Wildfires are unpredictable and can spread rapidly, causing immense damage to homes, wildlife, and natural resources. Your efforts in following these safety practices not only protect you and your property but also contribute to the overall safety of our community. Let’s work together to minimize the risk and impact of wildfires.

Stand With Us Against the Flames

As our community faces the challenges brought on by the Ruidoso wildfires, Pecos Valley Production is dedicated to providing unwavering support to those in need. Through our donation drive, collaboration with local officials, and direct assistance, we commit to making a positive impact.

Please join us in this effort by contributing essential items to our donation drive and following fire safety guidelines to prevent further wildfires. Your support and vigilance can make a significant difference in our neighbors’ lives and the safety of our environment.
